Wednesday Group 09/11
****
Presentations - Tuesday Group 15/11
Wednesday Group 16/11

Objective:
To gain a full understanding of the technology that is central to a hotel’s success with:
Customers – communications + service
Operations – management + profitability
Marketing – new customer sources + online reach

Certainly the company’s website is the place to start. Some have downloadable demos...others, you may have to request a demo.
Many companies are willing to send you a demo CD, especially if you state in your email request that you are conducting research for a Hotel School project.

In your presentation, be prepared to discuss:
• Profile of the PMS’s client hotels – independent, chain? Limited service – complex resorts? Pure room rental – condo or timeshare?
• The degree of ‘interoperability’ (look word up) – interfaces to other in-house systems
• Online capabilities
• The type of hotels the PMS is best suited for, not well suited for
• Costs – license, purchase, install, maintain – where possible
